Material type: materialTypeLabelBookPublisher: 1365Description: Folio: 12; Lines to a Folio: 20; Medium: Paper; Size: 10.5 x 4.5 inches.Subject(s): Stotras in Jain literature In: Language: Prakrit In: Script: DevanagariSummary: Vel. Cat. 1794; The MS. contains the text of Ajitasantistava with the commentary of Jinaprabha, Pupil of Jinasinhasuri of the Kharatara Gaccha. See Vel. Cat. Nos. 1722-23. The commentary was composed in Samvat 1365 and is very important as it contains quotations from Kavidarpana, explaining the diffrent metres. Curiously enough, some of these are not found explained by Hemachandra in his Cchandonusasana and hence, is seems, Jinaprabha had to resort to an older work i.e. Kavidarpana, which appears to be written in Prakrit. Jinaprabha respectfully quotes Hemacandra's Cchandascudamani of fol. 4. For quotations, of Peterson, Reports, III. p. 230ff.
